Precision-Engineered Pulley for Automobile
This large-sized automotive pulley is manufactured using the Powder Metallurgy (PM) pressing process. A black oxide finish has been applied per customer requirements, primarily serving for corrosion protection, enhanced aesthetics, and surface protection.
Given its substantial dimensions—with a tip diameter of approximately Φ126mm, 42 teeth, and a pitch of 9.525—controlling distortion is a critical challenge. The part’s hollow structure makes it highly susceptible to deformation during the key stages of compaction, sintering, and the black oxide process, necessitating extremely stringent process controls.
Furthermore, the internal step must adhere to precise dimensional tolerances, with a flatness requirement of 0.02mm. This high precision is essential to prevent interference with other components in the assembly.
